Word to PDF is the safest way to send a document. PDFs render identically on every device, can't be accidentally edited, and embed all fonts so layouts don't shift. Converterzilla's Word converter will turn .doc, .docx and .odt files into PDFs while preserving fonts, images and tables.

How Word to PDF will work once it ships

This tool isn't live yet — the steps below describe the planned experience, not something you can do today.

  1. Upload your Word file. Drop a .doc, .docx or .odt file. Templates, embedded images and tables are all supported.
  2. Pick PDF settings. Choose page size (A4 / Letter), preserve hyperlinks, and decide whether to embed all fonts.
  3. Download the PDF. We send you back a print-ready PDF that matches what Word shows on screen.

What Word to PDF will offer

True layout preservation

Server-side LibreOffice rendering means tables, columns and headers come through exactly as designed.

Hyperlinks stay clickable

URLs, table of contents entries and cross-references survive the conversion as live links.

Embedded fonts

Custom fonts get embedded so the PDF looks the same on every device, without font substitution.

Questions we expect about Word to PDF

Word conversion needs LibreOffice or similar headless server software. Our other tools run in the browser; this one needs a backend we're actively building.

Form fields will be preserved as PDF form fields. Macros are stripped — PDFs don't have a macro system.

We'll target a 100 MB initial limit. Larger files will be handled when we add tiered processing.
