No. Every core tool — Merge, Split, Compress, JPG↔PNG and the others marked browser-based — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are read locally and never leave your computer.
Yes. The core tools are free, forever. We may add a paid Pro tier later for power-user features like OCR on long documents and team workspaces, but the everyday tools will stay free.
No. You can use every browser-based tool without signing up. Accounts will only matter when we add features that need persistence (saved files, team sharing).
There's no hard cap, but since processing happens in your browser, very large files (100MB+) depend on how much memory your device can spare. Most everyday PDFs and images work without issue.
We'd rather ship a small set of tools that work really well than a long list of half-broken ones. Tools labelled 'Coming soon' are on our roadmap — they're not abandoned, just not ready.
Once a tool page has loaded, the core processing runs in your browser and doesn't need an internet connection. We're working on a proper offline (PWA) mode for installing it like an app.
